[jitsi-users] Modifying welcome page and languages

#1

Hi there.

I've a jitsi installation in a Debian 8 server and I need some customizations. First of all, I've found that app.bundle.js is were the welcome page is built. Can I get some docs about how to modify it's content a bit? I'll need also some docs for new implementations into the conference, because I want to add 1 or 2 extra buttons in it and I think it will be as hard as the welcome page.

Also, the languages are not loading properly (I think). I've changed LANG_DETECTION: true in interface_config.js, but it doesn't change change the language. Is there a way to enable it by default in another language?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.
Diego.

I’m afraid we have no documentation on how to modify the site. You’ll have to find your way around the code and then rebuild the sources as outlined here: https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet#building-the-sources

A couple of pointers I can give you: both the welcome page and the toolbar are implemented as react components in the react/ subdirectory in the sources.

Also, the languages are not loading properly (I think). I've changed LANG_DETECTION: true in interface_config.js, but it doesn't change change the language. Is there a way to enable it by default in another language?

You can specify the default language in config.js: https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/config.js#L71
