[jitsi-users] Lost contacts restore

#1

No Idea if I'm doing this correctly by sending an email to users@jitsi.org

I've just booted up my PC went to start Jitsi and all my contact info is
missing. Normally Jitsi will start and log me in but it appears to have
reverted to the condition when I first downloaded it.

I've had a bit of search to see if I can find anything how to resolve this
problem and see there is and contactlist.xml file with my old contacts in it
but I have no idea how to restore this. I've looked in Options within the
program but there doesn't appear to be any provision for import or restore.

Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Yes, that's the right place!

What protocol were you using? If XMPP, then your contacts are stored on the server and you just need to log in again.

If you your contacts were SIP then you simply need to copy your old contactlist.xml over the new one. If you hadn't explicitly copied it however then chances are it was already overwritten.
