[jitsi-users] Jitsi serving over 443 Issues with Prosody

#1

In order to avoid firewall conflicts, several months ago, I switched to having the JVB serve itself over 443, and configured http-bosh (prosody) and everything through just the JVB following the instructions here:

https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-videobridge/blob/master/doc/http.md

Doing a basic HTTP POST to Prosody works fine on Windows, OS X, and iOS.

However on Android I am having a really strange issue where the connection just freezes on initialization.

It only seems to happen when using SSL to my server specifically, and not when going to https://meet.jit <https://meet.jit/>.si/http-bind

I’m trying to eliminate difference to figure out exactly what it is about my backend that is causing this issue.

Is meet.jit.si <http://meet.jit.si/> using prosody through the videobridge like above, or is it doing it via NGINX?

Does anyone have any theories on what may be going wrong here?

meet.jit.si does not use JVB to server HTTP.

Not really, but it sounds like a network capture might reveal a lot.

Boris
