[jitsi-users] jitsi pre-configured

#1

hello,
i would like to deploy jitsi in my organisation as a home-office sip
client and for that i would like to give people an preconfigured
client as a download. i know provision works in jitsi, but is there
any possibility to create a jitsi version which is already
pre-configured? it would be great if the user has to fill in only the
username and password. - is there any solution for that?

thank you very much!
best,
thomas

Hi,

It's possible to configure Jitsi by edit file sip-communicator.properties which was located in %appdata%/jitsi for windows environment.
I make a powershell script which get Account and TelephoneNumber in Active Directory and create this file.
This script is launched at user logon and then Jitsi is configured with LDAP Directory, different sound, ...

Regards.

Hi,

you can also push provisioning url through DHCP, you can check this at
https://jitsi.org/provisioning
Hope this helps.

Cheers

thanks for the answers. as i would deploy jitsi for home offices, the
DHCP provisioning is not an option because i have no influence on
their home routers. to make a script to write the config file is an
option, but not really great. is there a portable version of jitsi
available which is stable enough for production? if so, i could make a
setup for this and pack it in a zip file. that would work at least on
windows.
thanks,
thomas
