[jitsi-users] Jitsi OTR and File Transfer

OTR encryption between 2 parties also encrypts any file transfers
equally with OTR, is this correct?

Thank you in advance for any reply to this question.

Hello hawkeye,

I'm afraid this is not correct, file transfers in Jitsi are not
encrypted with OTR. I don't think the protocol officially supports this,
but it is possible, and people have done it, but there's no such
"experimental" implementation in Jitsi.

Regards,
George

Thank you George for your kind response.
It would be nice if encryption could be applied with file transfers.
But, PGP/GPG works just as well to encrypt the file before sending.

Again thanks for your reply
