[jitsi-users] Jitsi not ringing on incoming calls, very poor and distorted audio after a while

#1

Hello to all Jitsi Experts,

I´m using Jitsi (2.5.5242) with a Fritzbox on my Mac with OSX 10.8.5 installed.

Codec G722 is disabled in Jitsi. I have 3 accounts enabled.

One over the Fritzbox (623@fritz.box and password), one with voip2gsm and one with sipgate.

When I start Jitsi incoming calls for 623@fritz.box are coming through and Jitsi is ringing.

After a while, cannot say if its an hour or two, incoming calls are no longer ringing with Jitsi.

A restart solves the issue, but thats not a solution. What i´m able to do is to dial *09 so i catch the call.

The other problem is that after a while, perhabs 10 minutes or so, my voice is so distorted that my opponent cannot

understand me anymore, I can hear the opponent clear and with no issues. But thats not happening with every call.

I tried this with an Fritzbox 3712 and a brandnew 7362 SL.

With the 7312 i tried Jitsi as well on a Laptop with Ubuntu, same problems.

Please find attached the logs from my Mac.

I hope you can find something and can provide a solution

Thanks in advance

Christian

longer ringing with Jitsi.

You'd have to check whether, when that happens the INVITEs are still arriving at Jitsi or not. This will help determine whether the issues lies at the client or the server.

Hi Emil,

thank you for your respond.

How can I check the INVITEs? What about my logs, can you see anything there.
And what about the sound? Last thing I tried is to uncheck all Codecs but not the PCMU/8000 and PCMA/8000, but no success.
