I have audio/video issues with Jitsi on Ubuntu.
Basically, Jitsi doesn't initiate my video though it identifies the
webcam all right (correct webcam is identified in settings, although the
preview window reminds black and the webcam is not initiated).
When I try to place a call, it just hangs at the "initiating call"
dialog and after some 20 seconds it reports "The remote party has not
replied! The call will be disconnected".The same happens when I try to
place a call over jit.si, as well as when I try to call out via my sip
account. There is no calling sound, all remains silent.
I know this is very generic but any hints on how I can troubleshoot this
would be very welcome.
