[jitsi-users] Jitsi Meet

#1

Hi,

Is your App end-to-end encrypted?

Jitsi Meet has a video router component (the Jitsi Video Bridge) which makes some routing decisions based on some media aspects. Due to this, today, audio / video are not encrypted end-to-end, but hop-by-hop, that is, the video router has access to the media.

However! This is something we deeply care about and we are currently working on end-to-end encryption using the double SRTP encryption mechanism currently in the works at the IETF PERC working group: https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/perc/documents/

We will hopefully have something to announce soon.

Cheers,
