[jitsi-users] Jitsi Meet with Firefox: Sharing entire screen?

#1

Hi!
I use the latest Firefox 57 and understand that Jidesha isn't required
anymore. However, when clicking the screen sharing icon I'm prompted to
select a certain window but I don't have the choice to select the entire
screen. This is important for me because I want to demonstrate the usage
of the desktop with several applications. Is there a way to share the
entire screen when using Firefox?

Note: When using Chromium I *can* select the entire screen.

Regards,
Stefan

Hi,

This is a long-standing issue, it involves changes in lib-jitsi-meet
and in jitsi-meet. There was an old PR about that but haven't been
updated for a while, so basically needs someone to work on that, we
currently do not have it scheduled so PR or updating the old PRs is
very welcome.

There are planed changes in Firefox which will result in this being solved. So I don't think we'll be adding a workaround in jitsi-meet/lib-jitsi-meet. See another discussion here:
