[jitsi-users] Jitsi-Meet-Token

#1

Hi there

Knowing the failure with the last Jitsi-Meet upgrade that is not able to authenticate with a prosody user for room creation purposes, I was testing the jitsi-meet-token in order to get a solution. I followed some guidelines and I installed the prosody-trunk as expected. However when I try to create a room for example https://domain.com/room#config.token"token" I’m not able to get audio and video, it’s like videobridge is not working. Could somebody make token run?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

Hi,

There was a problem in jicofo which was recently fixed and fix is
currently in the unstable repo. Are you using the stable or unstable

Hi Damian

I installed the repository and jicofo has been upgraded to version 295. The web interface now looks pretty nice, with rise hand option and so on. However, authentication is not working or at least not in the way than before. Should I add something else in order to make it work? I don’t want to be a pain in the *** but, authentication is quite necessary for me.

Cheers.

Yes I did it. The problem is with the domain that for any reason does not interpret the internal_plain option in prosody, because if I put in the config.js domain: ‘guest.bla.bla’ instead of the real one, the authentication pop-up appears but offcourse is not gonna work because focus is not able to authenticate.

Hi Damian

Finally I found the mistake.

In jicofo sip-communicator.properties you have to add org.jitsi.jicofo.auth.URL=XMPP:jitsi-meet.example.com in order to force jicofo to authenticate with the prosody user.

The restrict_room_creation should be set in "local".

Cheers
