[jitsi-users] jitsi-meet: Screen sharing using firefox

#1

hello,

server running on debian 8 just upgraded

2 machines: a and b

1. machine a: start meeting using firefox 41.0.2 on widows 7
2. machine b: join meeting using chrome 45.0.2454.101 on debian 8
3. machine a: share a window which becomes visible on machine b
4. machine a: unshares the window -> machine b shows the frozen shared
window of machine a
5. machine b: browser reload removes the shared window and displays a
black screen
6. machine a: switch camera off an on -> no effect on machine b
7. machine a: browser reload fixes the problem

using chrome on machine seems to work fine

regards, gustav

Thank you for the report! We have it our roadmap to fix this. We know of two problems: we ignore source-remove messages, and when we switch streams on firefox we replace the wrong stream in our local description.

Regards,
Boris

Hi Boris:

Thank you. When do you think these will be fixed?

Thanks,

thanks boris,

sad to conclude that google-chrome currently seems to be the only 'jitsi-meet-capable' browser - at least at our site.
