I have a question: what it is the better strategy is to use jitsi, is through browser or install it ? The last time we tried to meet about 20 users around the world using browser address to connect us, finally only 12 could do it, however several times connection had fallen for some users, but not at the same time. The questions are:
The multi-party video conference experience will work best in a browser. The desktop client and the web application are not really the same thing.
1) What is the reason the unstable connections, it is a software or hardware problem?
Usually it can be a combination of bandwidth and CPU usage. We recently made substantial improvements in this area, you might want to give it another try! We now adapt much better to lower bandwidth conditions, so if you can’t process 20 videos we’ll suspend video for the least active participants until you can cope.
2) what is the max number of users to connect?
There is no hard limit, usually your computer will give up processing so many videos before the server does.
3) In case, it is a software issue is there a way to make some configurations to improve the connection?
The default settings are designed to Just Work (TM). Please give it another go and let us know how it went!
