[jitsi-users] Jitsi-meet moderating role switches to another user if this is disconnected

#1

Hello,

exits any way that the moderator is the same always?
I explain. if I go into the room first, I am the moderator and other users
are visitors.
But if the moderator is disconnected (for connection failure or other cause
),
and re-enter into the room , it loses the role of moderator.

There any way to recover the role?, for example with a url for moderator
and a url for visitors. ¿?

Best regards

Hi,

Yes I was also wondering if the moderator can be chosen or it has to be the
first person to enter, since this is a big impact, especially if first
person losses connection.
I think that we need, in this case, non-anonymous xmpp user for this, or
maybe it is not true.

To achieve that feature, for another project i've forked jitsi-meet, to
implement advanced features about moderation...

A lot of work!

You can achieve that by activating the authenticating for users. You can
even have multiple moderators in one room.

Actually every authenticated user gets moderator role then.

#6

so it is the xmpp users that need to be moderators + activation in config
of jitsi-meet ?

+1.
I donot like the idea to transfer the role of moderator to the others at all.

Can Jitsi team provide a guideline to hack it if they donot want to change the feature ?
