[jitsi-users] Jitsi Meet install

#1

I just installed Jitsi Meet on a fresh Ubuntu 16.04 droplet on Digital Ocean following your instructions to install the full suite at https://jitsi.org/downloads/.

When I go to the IP address for the droplet I’m unable to connect to the server. Do I need to set it up with a FQDN instead of an IP? Or is there some dependency that I need to install first?

Thanks

David

Hi,

Strange is that you cannot connect at all.
But yeah, having a dns record for testmeet.example.com and use that as
a host when installing and then access it using
https://testmeet.example.com is the easiest and problem free way of
deploying jitsi-meet.
