For a long time, I’m experiencing issues with Jitsi (both stable and beta) when using Firefox; I’ve opened a bug on Firefox 57 back in the days and the issues still exists to this day (just tried with latest Firefox 64).
Since the original issue the symptoms are not as severe as right now the video is not permanently greyed out, but keeps constantly interrupting with message “Fellow jitster is having a connectivity problem”.
What bothers me is that there were never such issue on Chrome stable or beta.
I’m using Fedora (24 back then, 29 now and everything in between), kernel 4.19.8 on my desktop with Ryzen 7 CPU and nVidia GTX1060 with proprietary driver.
Since I cannot find any topic on this forum, I would guess it’s something in my settings or maybe even environmental, but I’d appreciate community’s help to figure it out, because it just creams my corn, that I have to use Chrome for Jitsi calls.
