[jitsi-users] Jitsi Meet for iOS/Andriod

#1

Hi All,
I have tried the Jitsi Meet and it is great! Multiple clients can have audio/video chat together.
Now I want to implement a native iOS/Android apps just like Jitsi Meet for browser. The iOS/Android app will able to create audio/video chat with multiple users. The apps are native and not just include a browser view to show Jitsi Meet page.
Right now, I am able to create a native WebRTC apps to have one-to-one chat using openwebrtc library (http://www.openwebrtc.org/). But I don't know how to integrate with Jitsi Meeting/Videobridge. I google it but didn't find any information. I tried to read Jitsi Meet source code. They are lots of code and I don't find any clue yet. I know I need to:1. Join the MUC room, get the users information.2. Setup WebRTC to each peers in this room.
Could you give some guide lines about how to do it? Any documentation or reference will be very helpful.
Thanks,Leo

I don't want to discourage you from making mobile apps (quite the opposite,
actually), but I feel compelled to let you know that on Android 5 works
just fine with Chrome.

Not sure what your use case is, but that might help hold you over until
your apps are completed.

Will you apps be open source? Will they be available on the app stores?
Free?

Hi Adam,
Thanks for letting me know that Android 5 works fine with Chrome. I don't decide how to do it yet. I am just doing some evaluation and check if it is feasible or not. If it is not right/hard to do it, I will stop to try. I have not think about it will open source or not yet. As I said, it just an idea yet. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Best Regards,
Leo
