[jitsi-users] Jitsi Meet Debian Install

#1

Team,

Sorry for the NOOB question. I installed the Debian jitsi-meet packages. It seemd to go well. Do I need to install all of these packages if I just want to use the Jitsi Meet client on a Debian Client machine? I only want to install what is needed.

Hi Michael

If you follow this guide it should get you setup. You do not need the Jigasi section at the bottom unless you want to add 'landline' calling

If you install Jitsi-meet it should auto install videobridge, prosody etc.

Once you install Jitsi Meet on a server all you need is a WebRTC capable browser on the client machines. Since you mentioned the client will (also) be a Debian system, either Chromium or Firefox will do.

Cheers,
