[jitsi-users] Jitsi meet accessing text chat

#1

Hello community,

I wish to create an agent to intercept the text messages from the chat room in Jitsi meet.

I have looked into libjitsi but this seems to be more for audio and video streaming.

I guess I want the same functionality but only for the messages and not the audio and video.

Does anyone know if this is something I can do using the libjitsi API, if not has anyone done this before and

know where I should look?

Thanks

Libjitsi itself is not a suitable choice, because it doesn't do XMPP. But all you need to do is join an XMPP MUC, so any XMPP library should work fine for you. For an example using Smack (what we use in our projects) I recommend checking out jitsi-hammer here:

Boris
