[jitsi-users] Jitsi hangs when logging off a Windows 7 computer

#1

Hi all,

I'm a happy Jitsi user, but sometimes Jitsi hangs when i try to log-out or shut down.
Is this a known issue or is there a fix already?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Greetings,

Vincent

No, I'm not aware of this issue being known to us.

For that matter, Jitsi tells me that it has crashed every time I quit
it. It may be a good idea to have the shutdown logic reviewed, I
guess.

Here's the details related to Jitsi crashing.

Can we open a bug?

Could this be caused by the fact that we are halting the JVM? Is there
a way for the crash handler to detect this and not care?

I expect that's the case. We do have to revise the crash detection
procedure of the crash handler and recognize the intentional JVM halt.
The auto-update functionality is also affected when the crash handler
reports this false positive because the Windows installer detects that
Jitsi.exe is open and cannot be modified.
