[jitsi-users] Jitsi features

#1

Hello all,

Sorry if this is a duplicate. I didn't see the message make it to the
list archive.

I've got several questions:

Is it possible to turn off file send/receive history?

Is it possible to set the location where Jitsi searches for its data?

How can I set the default location for received files? (If not, is
this planned?)

Can multiple OTR keys be remembered for a user? If not, is there a
planned feature for this? In XMPP, this is extremely useful where
users can sign on to multiple resources, especially when multiple
resources have OTR capabilities.

It looks like the Secure Chat menu doesn't always appear/work
properly. (Jitsi/2.2.4603.9615) Is this a known bug?

Thanks and happy new year,

John

Is it possible to turn off file send/receive history?

Currently not, but it gets deleted if you delete the history. There's a
feature request open for it [1].

Is it possible to set the location where Jitsi searches for its data?

Yes, you can launch Jitsi with the argument --config=DIR

How can I set the default location for received files? (If not, is this

Possible no, planned not really anymore since I've fixed the location to get
Windows' actual Download-Folder [2].

Possible no, planned AFAIK yes.

It looks like the Secure Chat menu doesn't always appear/work properly.

Yes, and it is fixed in the nightly builds (one of the 2.4.x builds is
likely to be promoted to stable in the next few days). Note that all answers
above are for the current nightly build.

Thanks and happy new year,
John
