[jitsi-users] Jitsi fails to register with (any) servers on LInux Mint

#1

Hi,

I have installed jitsi 2.2 on Linux Mint Nadia. I cannot get it to work as
account registration as well as adding an existing Jabber go Gtalk account
does not succeed.
It seems the network lookup of the servers fails, always.

Please advice. Thanks

It seems the network lookup of the servers fails, always.

Could you please verify that you have at least one nameserver entry in your
/etc/resolv.conf?

Please advice. Thanks

That was the right guess. The resolv.conf contained an invalid nameserver
entry:

nameserver 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

once I deleted this line, all worked just fine.

Thanks.
