On my Kubuntu 13.10 box, jitsi crashes when I end a video call when my
camera has been enabled.
This also happens when I open the tools -> preferences window, open the
camera preview, and then either choose another tab like the audio tab or
close the preferences window.
My log is in this pastebin: http://bpaste.net/show/fPeddacCsXOr2eq8JjuD/
Couldn't find any core dump in /usr/share/jitsi/core, even when I do
chmod +w to that directory.
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
I've read that you plan to switch to chrome for UI.
When my camera works with WebRTC getusermedia in chrome (as in
meet.jit.si), does that mean that the crash will be resolved with the
new UI?
How much java parts will remain?
Thank you for answering.

Yes. Just for the GUI though.

Depends on what was causing the crash. If it really was the web cam then no. If however it was the video render, then possibly yes.

Hard to measure exactly. I'd say roughly 70% to 80%
