Can anyone else confirm the jit.si video bridge is offline? If you go to
tools > there's usually an option for "create video bridge" but lately this
have been grayed out.
Not showing online in Jitsi Windows 7 64bit 2.4.4997
yeah i can confirm the bridge is offline even on more recent builds, that's not a build problem rather it could have been deactivated on jitsi server.

The videobridge is up again, sorry for the inconvenience.
Is there anyway to automatically monitor when the videobridge goes offline?
There are services like uptimerobot.com that can monitor specific ports,
ping, keywords, etc.
These are the ports open on jit.si. Is there anything specific for the
videobridge?
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
80/tcp open http
113/tcp closed ident
443/tcp open https
444/tcp closed snpp
5222/tcp open xmpp-client
5269/tcp open xmpp-server
7777/tcp open cbt
9090/tcp open zeus-admin
9091/tcp open xmltec-xmlmail
I'm genuinely curious for and from a technical aspect. If a company creates
a videobridge, how do they monitor it to ensure it's online?
@jungle: I think they monitor the service associated to the jitsi bridge, that should respawn itself in case of crash , and do some other tricks to keep it alive as long as possible.

No, the videobridge doesn't listen on a port. It connects to the XMPP
server as a component, and accepts requests through that connection.
So monitoring will not be quite as simple -- you need to connect to the
XMPP server and do a disco#items.

Boris
