[jitsi-users] Jigasi Caller-ID

#1

Hi Team,

A quick question, for a default installation, an outbound call initiated
from jit-meet app gets a caller-Id 'jigasi' at SIP server integrated with
Jigasi. Requirement here is to be able to differentiate callers at SIP
server side to know who is calling whom for tracking and billing.

Should I be creating xmmp user for each or can add some external API
authenticated call-id instead of jigasi.

Also how can we add custom SIP header at jigasi? Thanks

Hi,

Jicofo is the one sending the dialIQ to jigasi, with no information
inside it who is doing the call. So there is a modification needed in
jicofo (adding a field inside dialIQ). Then handling of this is needed
inside jigasi of course.

If you enable internal authentication in prosody, you need to create
users. There are other authentication options with prosody also
available from community modules.

To add a sip headers to jigasi, you need to edit the configuration
file and the sip account options, here is an example INVITE custom
header:
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1sip1.ConfigHeader.1.Name=X-CUSTOM-HEADER
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1sip1.ConfigHeader.1.Value=custom_value
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1sip1.ConfigHeader.1.Method=INVITE

There are some variables you can use in the header values
${from.address}, ${from.userID}, ${to.address}, ${to.userID}. UserID
is the user part of the from or to address.
