[jitsi-users] Java 7 On OSX

#1

Hello,

WIth apple "dropping" java support in favour of users using the Oracle
binaries, Jitsi gets cranky on a fresh mavericks install.

I did some searching and found this :
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14806709/application-is-using-java-6-from-apple-instead-of-java-7-from-oracle-on-mac-os-x

Perhaps the Jitsi .dmg for mac could be built with the oracle tools instead?

THanks!

Jeff.

Hi,

actually right now a new dmg is baking which will have a new launcher
and jre 1.7 embedded. We tried using the oracle launcher but it has
some limitations and we were forced to create our own.

For the record, this should also help getting Jitsi in the OS X app store.
