[jitsi-users] jabber: text works, call doesn't connect

dear jitsi-devs,

i'm trying to use jitsi over my own ejabberd server. so far only text messages work, when i try to call a contact it "freezes" at the connection window. its not even ringing.

i'm using the nightly builds, system debian wheezy

Hey there,

It seems from your logs that you disabled ICE. Was that intentional!

Thanks for your quick reply and your work on the project.
Seems i accidently had the stable jitsi version without ice-support on one side ;-(

Now it fails again with "could not establish connection ICE failed.", which seems to be a common problem.

Seen your fosdem-talk and i guess theres still some way to go...

Guess i'll have to wait unil gnu-sipwitch is mature enough to have a good voip alternative to skype.

Hey,

after opening ports 5222 and 5280 on both clients it worked.
Sorry for my bad mood.

I'm going to test further now with some friends.

It also has a common solution :). What service are you using? Have you
tried using jit.si or Google Talk?
