Hi, I'm not tech savvy. I downloaded your software and found ICQ as a possible account. Does this mean that I can add ICQ to the account list and it will become safe and encrypted to use?
Thanks,
Frank
[jitsi-users] ICQ
Hi!
I guess this won't be encrypted. It is like the facebook chat integration. The encryption must be supported by the opponents software and the network. And i think wether icq nor facebook support this.
Sorry!

Hi,
It will be encrypted if both parties (you and your friend) use the same
encryption (even the service provider (ICQ) can//reach your messages).
Jitsti, Pidgin and a variety of open-source software uses OTR
(Off-the-record) for text encryption, ZRTP for voice calls encryption.
You can find more about each below. I have included also some other
links that//are worth checking.
