[jitsi-users] getting "ZRTP identifier name does not match" at every call

#1

Every time my friend calls me jitsi shows a prompt with title "Edit
ZRTP identifier name" that says "ZRTP identifier name does not
match.[...] Edit ZRTP identifier name and store [...]".
It's annoying. How can I fix it?

#2

As far as I know this means an authentication failure and that someone is tampering with your connection. If you can rule that out (e.g. local LAN): no idea.

Werner, are you still reading the list?

I have tried with both computers in the same LAN, same problem there.
We both use jit.si.
The Short Authentication String matches all the time. Yet one of us
will get the "ZRTP identifier name does not match..." window.
It appears that this happens only once after jitsi is started. When
jitsi is not restarted between calls the window will not show up.

Can you please open an issue on Github and link to this mailing list thread? I'll try to look at it when I'm back from my holiday.
