*Jitsi Makes the List in PCMag's Top Software Picks*
Our friends at +Jitsi <https://plus.google.com/108001001903470304650> are
in the list of top video conferencing software, including Skype, Google
Hangouts, Facetime, Cisco WebEx, Camfrog and Oovoo.
Nevermind that this is one of the ugliest web sites I've seen for a major
publisher, here's what they say:
"Jitsi (formerly the SIP Communicator) fits the bill nicely, with almost
nightly new builds of the multi-protocol software; it's ICQ for video and
does SIP or XMPP-based video and audio, and works...

In case you don't already know, jitsi is also listed as one of the
alternatives for skype and stuff like that on https://prism-break.org/
(that's how I found out about jitsi). I'm not sure it is deserved at the
moment though, given the problem with the seed.

Philipp

That's fixed with commit e663f95e42b55f7fd6f3f06b56eca7a015a2109f. Should be available with next build.

That's fixed with commit e663f95e42b55f7fd6f3f06b56eca7a015a2109f.
Should be available with next build.

Actually, this commit doesn't yet solve it completely. While new Random()
for ZRTP is gone, in cases where the audio sampling fails Fortuna's 32
entropy pools are still seeded with zeroes (ZrtpFortunaEntropyGatherer). I
see two possibilities here:
- Skip the audio gathering completely and fill the pools from SecureRandom
- Use the audio only when it doesn't return zeroes, else use SecureRandom

Hm ... I would have expected addSeedInfo() to ... I don't know ... add seed info? Rather than set it?

I
see two possibilities here:
- Skip the audio gathering completely and fill the pools from SecureRandom
- Use the audio only when it doesn't return zeroes, else use SecureRandom

This sounds like the better approach ...

Or maybe:

- XOR the two and go with that

Whatever, as long as it's really random and not just zero.

We therefore consider the "Random" matter concluded and closed.
