[jitsi-users] French interface translation error

#1

Hello,

In the latest versions of the Linux stable (2.5.5065) and nightly
(2.5.5289) versions I notice an error in the French translation of the
interface.

In the "Authenticate Buddy" window in English using the option "Question
authentication", there are two text boxes : Question, and Answer, as
seen in this image :
English : http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=vh493t&s=8

On this same window in French, the two text boxes are : Answer, and
Answer. The first box is supposed to be Question. I circled the error in
red in this image :
French : http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=iqlcee&s=8

The first text box text should be "Votre question", and the second,
which is correct, is "Votre rponse".

If you agree that this is a translation error, I will proceed with the
creation of a ticket (if that is the recommended procedure).

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hello,

I've received no response to this request for permission to create a new
ticket, as requested on your bug tracking page. Please let me know. It
is a small and easy fix.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hey

Our translations are maintaind in Pootle (http://translate.jitsi.org), where this mistake is AFAIK already fixed. If not, please fix it there (and maybe complete the missing translations if you feel like it), then please post again here so we can commit the changes to the nightlies.

Merci!

Freundliche Grüsse,
Ingo Bauersachs

Hey there,

Thanks for the information. I just downloaded the latest fr.po file, and
I can confirm that the translation is now correct.

#: plugin.otr.authbuddydialog.QUESTION_INIT
msgid "Enter your question here:"
msgstr "Votre question:"

I also created an account and will chip in with the translation effort.

De rien !

Daniel
