[jitsi-users] Firefox screen sharing blocked - Failed to install desktop sharing extension in Chrome

#1

I have installed my Jitsi Meet instance, and enabled Firefox and Chrome for
screen sharing.
At the beginning everything worked fine, but after a couple of tests, the
screen sharing boecome blocked by both browsers.
I have worked around with Chrome (It stills saying everytime I try to start
the screen sharing that it "Failed to install desktop sharing extension",
but at the second attempt it works nice) obtaining a developer account and
uploading the extension.
With Firefox I can't find how to sign the extension (I'm a totally newbi
with this kind of tasks!) so I will appreciate if someone can point to me
for a detailed step by step guide on how to sign my extension.
Regards,
German

To get your extension signed you need to upload it to https://addons.mozilla.org/

Note that the extension for firefox is required only on firefox version older than 52. For 52 and above, you can use screen sharing without an extension (just make sure that your config.js contains desktopSharingFirefoxMaxVersionExtRequired=51, so that jitsi-meet knows to not attempt to use an extension).
