[jitsi-users] file transfer not working

#1

Hi,
we're using Jitsi between clients on an internal company network and
everything works
fine, except for file transfer. When a user initiates a file transfer
the receiving user gets the message asking to accept the transfer. The
transfer seems to start, but then stops with the error:

"The file transfer has been canceled"

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanx
Chris

Which protocol?
Which server?
Logfiles?

Thanx

The server needs to support/allow file transfer. I'm not sure if this is the
case with this server. You might want to set up your own server, if only for
privacy reasons. If you don't consequently use OTR, this server can read/log
all your messages. And OTR doesn't protect file transfers.

I only found one file transfer, with 12 minutes between the offer and your
acceptance. I'm not sure how long it take to timeout, but 12 minutes seems
long enough to run into it. Try accepting a file immediately after the offer.

I sent another message, most recent logs attached. File transfers work
fine with pidgin on the same server.
