[jitsi-users] Feature request: transfer call via button

#1

Hello,

we are currently using jitsi with the voip company spigate.de. They have
a feature to transfer calls via shortcut [1]. It would be far easier if
jitsi could offer an alternative through its gui, i.e. a dedicated
button to transfer calls.

Does something like this exist or may I file a feature request?

All the best,

Thomas

Agree, I would like it if Jitsi had the ability to have function buttons. Having Transfer Buttons, Voicemail buttons etc.

I might be missing something but ... what's wrong with the existing "Transfer" button? Isn't that what you are looking for?

I'd like feature buttons, in the long run. it's something that would be convenient and I would like them added sometime in the future.

My question was actually for the original poster

As for feature buttons, we currently have global shortcuts so and I think that if extended properly, those could serve the same purpose, only better!

The possibilities are currently limited (picking and hanging up calls, push to talk, toggle contact list) but adding other actions, like call transfer, shouldn't be too much work!

Can you point me to documentation for global shortcuts? I looked but didn't find anything that looked like I could do it w/o coding in Java. I'm more of a IBM Mainframe Assembler language coder (but not current)...

Hi John,

Can you point me to documentation for global shortcuts? I looked but didn't find anything that looked like I could do it w/o coding in Java. I'm more of a IBM Mainframe Assembler language coder (but not current)...

Currently there's no documentation for this plugin. You can check the current set of global shortcuts in the UI if you click Options (Preferences on Mac) / Advanced / Keybindings. The code for these is located in net.java.sip.communicator.impl.globalshortcut.

Hope this helps,
Yana
