hopefully not. Facebook never had XMPP, just a poor clone of it, with no
federation and all.

After all, Facebook is only fit for publicly posting information to
message boards, it is *not* in any way fit for private chat.

SImply switch to a real and open Jabber service.

I'm pretty sure that this means that Jitsi cannot be used any further.

I had a quick look and I can't seem to find any API for accessing the
"chat" features of Facebook. ... scratch that ... there seems to be an
endpoint for reading a message or a chat conversation - if that's even
an actual chat conversation. I guess they don't want other apps to
access the chat network directly. You can only connect to Facebook's
chat app and let it relay your message. Doesn't seem very useful ...
