[jitsi-users] error when trying to callout from fedora 14 system

#1

Running Fedora 14. Installed and configured Jitsi. Default
configuration. Jitsi registers to freeswitch on local lan segment OK but
when dialing another local extension I receive this:

An error occurred when sending invite request:

I haven't been able to find a requirements list for Jisti so maybe something is missing or the wrong version?

Also, I have several other sip clients that work fine like Ekiga, Blink, Linphone.

Thanks in advance

Some further info:

[yossi@travelmate ~]$ java -version

Jitsi-1.0.0 on fedora 14 system.

[yossi@travelmate ~]$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_20"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.9.10)
(fedora-55.1.9.10.fc14-i386)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 19.0-b09, mixed mode)
[yossi@travelmate ~]$

Jitsi is running very slow. It takes 7 seconds from clicking
of call button until the Call window appears and then another
5 seconds till it shows Ringing and other end really rings.

The windows version of Jitsi is very quick in this.

It looks like something is eating a lot of cpu time inside
Jitsi but I don't have a clue where to start looking.

Anybody experienced this or have any understanding?

Thanks,

Perazim

I'm experiencing it on Ubuntu 12.04. I'm still looking into it.
