How is encrypted offline messaging supposed to work?
Up to now the only thing I realized is that I see a message:
otheruser/jitsi-8q6i08 sent you an unreadable encrypted message.
I understand that I am probably unable to decrypt that message since the
session key from the previous connection between me and "otheruser" is
not valid anymore (or even nowhere stored after I've logged out from
jitsi). That's somehow bad, but maybe I better accept this as a security
feature.
You sent foo@jit.si (Jabber) an unreadable encrypted message.
Please end your private conversation with ralhex@jit.si (Jabber) or
refresh it."
What should be done to get all the unreadable messages resent (in case I
and otheruser are both online again)? Just cut&paste or is there a
one-click solution or even some automated synchronization?
Is there perhaps even some way I can read an encrypted message that
otheruser sent to me while I was offline (even when now I am online and
otheruser is offline).
Ralf
PS: In my situation both partners use the jit.si server.
