[jitsi-users] DNS resolver cannot be initialized

#1

Hello,

I'm having some DNS problems running latest nighty-build jitsi on my
system (latest gentoo, amd64bit, kernel 3.12.4)

I can't login with any of my XMPP accounts (gmail.com, kdetalk.net,
my-own) unless I specify the ip address of the server. Also, even with
the IP adress specified, placing a audio/video call gives me the
fallowing error (the same I get if I try to simply:

Hey

Could you please post the contents of your /etc/resolv.conf?
There needs to be at least one nameserver entry present.

Nevermind. There was a problem by my side in resolvconf, that made
resolvconf generate an /etc/resolv.conf like this:

# Generated by resolvconf
search fastwebnet.it
nameserver 8.8.8.8,208.67.222.222
nameserver 8.8.8.8

maybe the library used by jitsi have problems with different
nameservers specified on the same line.

Is such a format commonly in use? Quoting resolv.conf(5):
"Up to MAXNS name servers may be listed, one per keyword."
