[jitsi-users] Distributed Jitsi Meet (global)

#1

Hi all

We use Meet quite sucessfully on a single instance. I’m wondering if it’s possible to distribute the video bridge between two or more servers as a form of CDN

We are in Europe but a lot of our users are on the US West Coast so ideally I would like a US instance as well as a European one to benefit from reduced latency using the data centres private links

It is important that both servers be used for the same conference e.g me talking to two persons in the US, me using the EU server, them using the US server. Is this possible?

Thanks

That's something we're currently working on. The basic functionality is
there (albeit not tested much yet), but setting it up requires some work.
This should all improve in the coming months.
