[jitsi-users] Disabling Multimedia options through provisioning?

Hi,

Could you just disable the video codecs?

Subject: [jitsi-users] Disabling Multimedia options through provisioning?

Hi All,

I'm currently working on paring back some of Jitsi's featureset for a company deployment, where they have no need for screen sharing and video at the moment (but they still want audio calls).

Is there any particular means of globally disabling video and screen share functionality through provisioning/.properties? I'm aware that it's possible to disable Jingle entirely from the account options, but this isn't exactly what I was after since it hides call functionality too.

Many thanks,

Hi Curtis,

I tried this and although it obviously rendered Video functionality inoperable, it didn't disable any of the user interface options for video nor screen sharing.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I think I'm unfortunately going to have to grin and bear it and dig into the code, unless my employer decides it's not worth it.
