[jitsi-users] dialpad

#1

It would be very useful to have a simple dialpad in the GUI. I really only need it for users who need to easily/quickly remember which letters are associated to which number...

Some IVRs ask the caller to press the dialpad equivalent (in numbers) of a user password which may contain letters. For example, Jitsi1beta would translate to 5487412382.

That's a bit hard to do without a dialpad.

http://java.net/jira/browse/JITSI-932
has a ticket probably created by a user regarding this feature request but it was closed without any comments.

Is it hard to implement?

Is it already implemented somehow and I haven't seen it?

Is there a quick workaround?

Thanks,

Vieri

There is already a dialpad available during a call. See the attached

It seems to me that there was a comment and that it reads:

  As http://www.jitsi.org/index.php/Development/BugsAndIssues says
"Please, do not create or modify tickets in the issue tracker before
discussing them on our dev mailing list. Thanks a million!"

Is it hard to implement?

It is not hard per se but I don't think anyone is working on it. The
only tricky part would be to determine how to best add it to the contact
list without making it look cluttered.

If someone's interested, then we would of course be happy to discuss
layout suggestions and then take a patch.

Cheers,
Emil

OK, I'm blind.
That dialpad is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks!
