[jitsi-users] debian jitsi 2nd start failed

#1

Hi list,

On squeeze I was obliged to get rid of ~/.jitsi in order to start
it after upgrade, then I re-created my accounts - that worked.

But after a stop, jitsi won't restart:
$ jitsi -d
Expression 'GetExactSampleRate( hwParams, &defaultSr )' failed in 'src/hostapi/alsa/pa_linux_alsa.c', line: 899
Expression 'GetExactSampleRate( hwParams, &defaultSr )' failed in 'src/hostapi/alsa/pa_linux_alsa.c', line: 899
warning: The VAD has been replaced by a hack pending a complete rewrite
Aborted

My sources.list contains:
deb http://download.jitsi.org/deb unstable/

Hi,

nothing interesting in the logs, like it was started without any
problem. Can you give more details, about the Linux you use, do you
use gnome, kde, unity, which version.
Do you see jitsi in the process list? Does it show in the notification area?

Do you see jitsi in the process list?

Just after a start I launched top but the only thing I see is
the java process taking ~97% CPU
between launch and fail, there's about 45' for the first launch,
~20' for the others,
machine is a celeron 2.0GHz w/ 750MB RAM.

Does it show in the notification area?

Nope
