[jitsi-users] Current account username behaviour

#1

Hi ppl,

How to show my current username in chat on my side, when using SIP? I mean,
I see my friend's name in chat, its OK, but I also want to see my name
instead of my extension.

Thx in advance,
Maxim

Hi,

there is an account property which is normally used with provisioning
(there is no UI to set this), but you can set it in your configuration
properties file. The property name is ACCOUNT_DISPLAY_NAME and put
some name for it, and this will do the trick.
Mine looks like:
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1387368817457.
ACCOUNT_DISPLAY_NAME=damencho

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, I already set it in account
configuration, also I've checked it in advance settings and its set to
"Max". But I still see my extension in Chat...

Hello,

is there any way to adjust the font size in the chat window? I almost
need a magnifiying glass for reading what I and my chat partners have
written. I already checked the setting boxes within the programs that I
could find, but in none of them I found anythign about the font size (or
the font being used for display).

Kind Regards

Hi,

as I said, this cannot be change or checked through the settings you
see in the UI. You must stop Jitsi edit the configuration file and
start it again.
Or use the properties editor. But make sure you make backups of the
file, just in case if you do something wrong.
