[jitsi-users] Create rpm repository

#1

Hello everyone.

I see for debian and ubuntu there are repositories configuration.
I'm using Fedora 20, but I could not use repository for my distro, I was using 2.2 and I did not know there is a new edition of the app, until I checked the website, how can I make rpm repository for jitsi?

Hello Jalal,

Currently we only have RPM repo for the nightly builds. We will consider adding a repo for the stable builds next time we release.

In order to use the repo of the nightly builds do the following:

1) Create a repo file: /etc/yum.repos.d/jitsi.repo with the following content:
[jitsi]
name=Jitsi
baseurl=https://download.jitsi.org/jitsi/nightly/rpm/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0

2) Run yum install jitsi to install the latest jitsi build.

Could you please provide that file somewhere around the repository to
simplify the installation?

Providing the repository file as an rpm package (which makes it possible
to add the repo with 'rpm -Uv
http://download.jitsi.org/path.to/package.rpm') would also be nice. But
maybe start first with providing signed packages.

Anyway, thanks for providing the nightly builds.

Hey,

we pushed a new build only for linux, because previous has some issues
with one of the codecs. And we also added a repo for stable, check it
and also the instructions:
https://jitsi.org/Main/RPMRepository
