[jitsi-users] Clean exit of Jitsi

#1

yes, here is one more XP user who is expeeriencing the same issue on 2.2 stable.
First comes the "regular" message that a program can't be closed. Most of the other programs are still closed after the "waiting periode". But with Jitsi , as soon as the waiting periode is over, an new window comes up saying the the program is not responding and if the user would like to end or cancel. There has to be a "manual" intervention before the machine will shut down.

XP, SP3

It would appear to be the same situation for 2.2 and 2.3 nightly from 23rd August.
32-bit versions running on Windows XP.

Which version do you think the problem was fixed.

Both of the above. If neither of them is working then it must be
something specific to XP in general or your own installation.

Are other XP users seeing the same issue?

How to I view revision histories of Jitsi by the way?

Hey Stephen,

We have Jitsi running under Windows XP on systems that must be shut
down at the end of each day.

The PCs would shut down cleanly and easily by pressing the PC's power
button, if it wasn't for Jitsi. The shutdown process hangs as Windows
waits for the Jitsi processes to finish, which they don't do. We are
having to manually select "Quit" from the system tray icon, before the
machines will shut down.

Am I missing something in the setup that would allow Jitsi to be
exited cleanly by the normal system shutdown sequence without having
to manually intervene?

Similar problems were fixed quite some time ago. Are you using the latest
version?
