[jitsi-users] Class Missing

#1

OS: Win XP Pro (SP3) running in 'Limited' mode
SIP Comm. ver: As of this afternoon
Java: 1.6.0-24

On Starting SIP Communicator I am receiving the following message 'Class
Missing'.

Everything appears to work, although I have been unable to connect to any of
my SIP accounts.

No error logs have been generated.

Is this a known issue?

Is there an expected e.t.a for resolution of this issue?

A week or so probably. Note that even if it is indeed an annoyance it
shouldn't have an impact on how jitsi works otherwise.

Is there an expected e.t.a for resolution of this issue?

It's on my todo list but I currently have other higher priorities and
I'm not sure when I'll get to it.

Hello Emil,

So the issue of not being able to connect to any SIP accounts is also a
known issue?

As I speak I have been able to connect to my gmail account and send
encrypted IM's.

I am not, on the other hand, able to Gtalk (the receiver, also using SIP
communicator, tries to accept but in doing so a 'call failed' error is
generated), and SIP accounts, as I have already mentioned, cannot to be
connected to.

Build 3391 is believed to fix the issue which used to cause the
display of an error dialog notifying that "Class does not exist".
Whoever has seen that dialog, please update to the build in question
and let us know if such an error dialog is displayed (i.e. the
expected behavior for the update is to complete without displaying the
error dialog). Thank you very much for the help in fixing this issue!

Nope it is not. SIP is working for us just fine. It is unlikely that it
this issue is related to the "Class not found" error you see when
launching from installation.

We'd need complete logs in order to diagnose both of these.

Emil,

My server, antisip.com, do indeed support TLS & sRTP.

The very same account details entered into PhonerLite work with no issues.

I have just set 'Preferred transport' to UDP and my account now connects
successfully.

So the TLS option only refers to 'Proxy options' and not the connection as a
whole, correct?

Does setting 'Enable support to encrypt calls' allow for TLS connections?

Emil,

Please find attached new log files which should show failed SIP/Gtalk calls.

I also need to know how to set STUN for SIP accounts.

Many thanks.

Emil,

My server, antisip.com, do indeed support TLS & sRTP.

The very same account details entered into PhonerLite work with no issues.

I have just set 'Preferred transport' to UDP and my account now connects
successfully.

So the TLS option only refers to 'Proxy options' and not the connection as
a whole, correct?

Does setting 'Enable support to encrypt calls' allow for TLS connections?

Emil,

Have you had a chance to look over the log files I submitted last week? I'm
still none the wiser as to why Gtalk calls are not working.

Many thanks in advance,

Please find attached new log files which should show failed SIP/Gtalk

I also need to know how to set STUN for SIP accounts.

Many thanks.

As soon as your logs are examined and either the problem is identified
and fixed or there is a need for further information to be gathered
from you, you will be contained on the users mailing list (and
possibly as a CC to your e-mail address). There is no need for a bump,
thank you for your patience.
