That seems to be a common problem with MS LifeCam's. I have the 6000
model and it also does not work.

I reported the issue here ages ago;

Hi,
my camera doesn't seem to be recognized (Camera: <No device>) by jitsi
2.2 (64bit, windows7), though the microphone which is integrated with the
camera IS recognized.

It's a USB camera:
Microsoft LifeCam VX-7000

Not sure which other information I could/should provide.

Any suggestions?

Best,
Til

I just tried the latest build (2.3.4656.9728) and it still does not work. Here are some log messages:

Btw, is there a way to answer to this list from within java.net? I always get "You are not allowed to do that (send lists)".

get

"You are not allowed to do that (send lists)".

We're moving away from java.net and the mailings lists were migrated to
<listname>@jitsi.org, so: no.

Best,
