[jitsi-users] Camera Choices on Jitsi Meet

#1

I have two cameras on my laptop, one USB connected and the Builtin one. How does meet.jit.si determine which one to use and is there an ability to choose. I have /dev/video0(the builtin one) and /dev/video1(the logitech USB Webcam). The reason I ask is that when I attach to meet.jit.si with chrome, it seems to randomly choose one of the two cameras. I can unplug the USB camera and force the issue, but don't see an option anywhere to control it short of that. Thanks.

It a Ubuntu 14.10 64-bit system at current maintenance levels
Chrome Version 40.0.2214.111 (64-bit)

Hi,
On chromium, at least, at the end of the address bar you can see a little camera icon. I think you can choose you camera here.

Hi,

there is a camera icon in address bar from which you can choose
devices. And there is a media section in chrome://settings/content
where you can set default one. Hope this helps.

I actually see it now, had to actually go into chrome://settings/content and set it at first, but then it picked up the right camera and once it had the camera the camera icon appeared. Thanks all of you for the tip.
