[jitsi-users] Call Window positioning

#1

When initiating a SIP call it seems that Jitsi always positions the call window at (0,0). Is there any way to set the position of the call window? Ideally, I'd prefer that it would recall that last position like the chat window or the main window.

#2

Hey devs,

can anyone think of a reason why we do not save size and position for
CallWindow, and of course restore it on call window open? Is it safe
to change this?

     public CallDialog()
     {
- super(false);
+ super(true);

Thanks

I don't think the position matters in any way, but I'm not so sure about the size. If e.g. a desktop sharing call ends, we'd end up with the saved size of most likely the entire screen size. I wouldn't want the next call window this big again.

I see, you are right. That scenario is the one I was missing :slight_smile: Thanks.

Maybe we need to split size and location saving/restoring.

Yes that was I thought too. Some new overload like SIPCommFrame(bool restorePosition, bool restoreSize) leaving the current (bool restore) untouched.
