[jitsi-users] Authenticating has no apparent effect

#1

Hello,

I was attempting to use OTR via XMPP this week with a friend and I was able
to connect successfully with a friend. We confirmed each other's
fingerprints using voice chat over SIP and used the Jitsi menu to mark each
other's fingerprint as authenticated, but there was no indication that the
connection was authenticated. Thus, the only workaround was to save the
respective fingerprints to files so that we could be sure the connection
was authenticated each time. Is there an indication that we were missing?

Yes,
There is a litle yellow warning triangle in front of the lock when the
conversation is encrypted but not verified
