[jitsi-users] audio 'skipping' during call

#1

I have a problem with Jitsi wherein the call audio (what I am hearing) sometimes 'skips' or 'cuts-out' (that is the best way I can describe it). I am wondering if this is considered to be normal, i.e. do others experience this?

If this is not normal, I realize it will be difficult to diagnose. Perhaps I could record a sample call if that would be helpful, as well as include debug logs for the call.

I have tested with some other SIP apps, using the same SIP provider and calling the same number, and have not noticed the issue.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Skipping is generally a sign of network or CPU issues. If you are using
PCMU/PCMA, try switching to another codec such as SILK.

Hope this helps,
Emil
